Entourage, the TV show about a movie star and his group of friends trying to make it big in Hollywood, is now a movie about a movie star and his group of friends trying to stay relevant in Hollywood.

Your anticipation of Entourage will depend on whether you were a fan of the show or whether you haven't seen it at all. As a fan of the show, I was looking forward to it and I'm glad to say that Entourage delivers more of what made it such a popular show.

Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his entourage; Eric (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Drama (Kevin Dillon) and super agent-turned-studio-head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) are trying to get Vince back in the game. 

The problem is that whatever Vince stars in next, he also wants to direct. A further spanner is thrown into the works when Vince goes over budget on Hyde, forcing him to ask the co-financiers of the movie; Larsen McCredle (Billy Bob Thornton) and his son Travis (Haley Joel Osment) for money.

Entourage plays out like an extended episode of the TV show, meaning more jokes and plenty more cameos. Mark Wahlberg, Liam Neeson and even Thierry Henry are just some of the names who make a brief appearance. After all, if you are going to make a movie about making movies in Hollywood, why not get the big names to show up?

The humour featured in Entourage is not going to be to everyone's taste and may easily offend some, particularly those regarding sexuality or drugs. The feminist brigade will no doubt be out in full force against Entourage but I had an entertaining time.

As with the TV show, my absolute favourite part of the Entourage movie is the foul-mouthed and hot-headed, Ari Gold. Gold became one of my favourite characters in any TV show and this is mainly down to Jeremy Piven's performance in the role. He delivers such a loud and hilarious performance that might just have you questioning your own morality by the end.

Quite honestly, Entourage is nothing spectacular and will most likely have its haters however, it works very well as fan service and if they did decide to make another, I certainly wouldn't object to it.
